GE brings revolutionary technology in wind energy to India – Launches the Digital Wind Farm and the latest wind turbine 2.3-116

Ge announced the launch of its Digital Wind Farm solution in India. It is a dynamic, connected and adaptable wind energy ecosystem that leverages big data and analytics and pairs a world-class turbine with a digital infrastructure. This in turn enhances production, reduces cost and boots availability and productivity over the life of the wind farm. This launch signifies the beginning of an important phase in technological innovations for the renewable energy market in India. As India advances toward its clean energy goals, GE Renewable Energy has been actively partnering in the country’s progress. India is pursuing and aggresive strategy to build renewable energy capacities to ensure a sustainable energy mix and meet future demand for electricity. It therefore becomes imperative to adopt smart energy systems to integrate increasing amount of renewable power.

ENI enters into the upstream of Morocco

Eni signed a Farm-Out Agreement (FOA) with Chariot Oil & Gas to enter into Rabat Deep Offshore exploration permits I-VI, located in the Northern Atlantic Margin of Morocco. The completion of this FOA is subject to the authorization of the Moroccan authorities, to current partners’s approval and other conditions precedent. The agreement provides the Operatorship to Eni and a 40% stake of the license as well as the exploration rights over an area of 10,780 square kilometers, with a water depth ranging from 150m to 3,500m so far unexplored and with the prospect of finding liquid hydrocarbons.
At completion of the agreement the license will inlcude: Eni (Operator, 40%), Woodside (25%), Chariot (10%) and the Office National des Hydrocarbures et des Mines (“ONHYM”, 25%).
This agreement will enable Eni to expand its presence in the Alantic Margin of an important region such as the North Africa, in line with the Company’s strategy aimed at diversifying its exploration portfolio in basins with high hydrocarbons potential.
